Peel it and Stick it!

Want to redo that old concrete floor into something flashy for your beautiful car to sit on, well today I am going to give you a short demo on how to do just that.  RaceDay Peel & Stick Tiles are an easy and fast way to redo your garage, or any floor to give it that snazzy new look you have been searching for!  Follow the quick easy steps below to give your room a whole new look, and you will be done before lunch, literally!

  1. Make sure that oil & grease stains are removed from the floor (this will help for better adhesion).  Then roll a bonding adhesive to the floor this will help create a great bond between the floor and the adhesive on the tile.

Find the center of your floor and mark it out with chalk, this can be done using a chalk line, ruler, or tape measure. Doing this right should give you four equal quadrants.

3.

Ready to start peeling and sticking? Now is your chance, peel the protective paper from the back of the tile, align it with the center of the room along the lines, make sure that this is straight on the lines, if not it could throw off the rest of the tiles.

4.

Place the tiles down by quadrant, make sure the tiles stay aligned as you lay them down you can use any perfectly straight edge a laser level, ruler, yard stick, etc.

5.

Tiles most likely will need to be trimmed to fit once you get close to the wall, take the next tile and flip it over marking the cut line on the paper.  Make sure that the cut is in the accurate spot, line it up with the tile it is joining and the wall.

6.

Use a utility knife to create a couple of scores in the line that you drew, next use a pair of industrial snips or clippers to cut the tile.

7.

You are now at the finish line!! Once you have finished all four of the quadrants, take a 75-pound linoleum roller to smooth out the tiles, this will also help get rid of any bubbles.  You can easily rent the roller for usually under twenty dollars at a hardware store.

Well there you have it your done, and if you started around 8am you should be able to sit down and enjoy your lunch right about now, so pat yourself on the back and have a sandwhich and some lemonade.  So go ahead and enjoy that new floor, if its in your garage, go park that beautiful car of yours on it and take some pictures, because we know your proud of what you just accomplished by yourself.  Post the pictures to instagram, facebook, and all your social media and make your friends jealous of  your brand new snazzy floor.  Well that's it for this peel it and stick it!   Send us your photos of complete projects on our Facebook page, so we can see how awesome you did!
